"As a result of decades of reform efforts in Egypt and more recently the January 25th revolution, Egyptian-American organizations and individuals have expressed increased interest in contributing to Egypt’s short-term immediate relief efforts and long-term efforts for sustainable socio-economic, cultural, and political reform. To respond to this need, the Egyptian NGO Nahdet El Mahrousa and the US-based Ana Masry Foundation, in collaboration with the MENA Fourm at Georgetown, have organized a one-day forum called Together for a New Egypt for the Egyptian-American community. This forum is sponsored by the Egyptian American Community Foundation." The forum was held on March 19, 2011. [1]
