Biographical Information

Mr Tony Stockdale joined the De Montfort University "Board in May 2007 and is Chair of the Finance and Human Resources Committee. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee. Born in Retford, Nottinghamshire, Tony was educated at King Edward VI before studying at Birmingham Polytechnic where he gained a HND and ACA. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

"Mr Stockdale is a director with RSM Tenon with group responsibility for business development together with responsibility for the financial management and international divisions. Tony started his career with a training contract at Thomson McLintock. In 1978 he moved to Dana Corporation as an Accountant concentrating on Special Projects. He then moved back to Thomson McLintock in 1982 as a Manager, Consulting. Tony lives in Bridgnorth and is married to Christine and has a daughter and a son. He enjoys all sport (still competing at tennis and squash), cars and good wine. "
