Trafford power station was a proposed 1931-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom.[1]

Background

The facility was originally proposed in March 2016.[1] However, In December 2016, construction was canceled after the developer was unable to secure investment for the project ahead of a government deadline. The scheme has been put on hold indefinitely after the energy developer revealed it was unable to find the funds to build the plant.[2]
