Background on Plant

Trypilska power station is a six-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 1,800 MW. The plant was completed between 1969 and 1972, and is owned by Energy Company of Ukraine.

Fuel supply

The main fuel for the plant has been Donetsk anthracite coal supplied via railway. The backup "backlighting" fuel is gas and fuel-oil.
