Welcome to SourceWatch! I noticed some of your additions to the coal-related articles, and wanted to call two things to your attention.

One is our referencing policy, described in detail here: SourceWatch:References. We ask that all information be referenced, either using the "ref" tag system or with direct links to a page documenting the info added. On campaign contributions, for example, the reference should be directly to a page that documents the contributions mentioned. One good site to find this information is opensecrets.org.

The other point is that we have standard end sections, which are described here: Help:How to add an articles and resources section. The end sections for the articles you've edited may have already been in non-standard format, but if you could please help us standardize those as you add information to SourceWatch, we'd appreciate it.

contribution refs

Could you please use references for political contributions that include a direct link to a page documenting the numbers you are citing for various companies' political contributions? The information you're adding to SourceWatch is important, but it needs to be properly cited. Please see SourceWatch:References for more about how to reference sources.

Hey there Moe33,

The stuff you're adding is really good, but by not using our "<ref>" system, it's hard to tell where you're citing your sources. Additionally, you need a little more contextual information for your links so people can know where these numbers come from. It's actually quite simple and can basically be used for all the members of Congress. Here is an example of one of yours that we fixed, with the old version here. You can see the difference here.
