Background

The power plant originally consisted of a 38 MW unit commissioned in 1958 that is now retired. The existing power station is made up of two units: a 160 MW unit 1 that runs on fuel oil, and a 238 MW unit 2 that runs on coal. The coal unit was commissioned in 1981.
