The Wards Well - Lancewood coal project is listed as a being at the concept study phase in a 2019.[1] The proposed site is located 60km north West of Emerald, Queensland, Australia.
In BHP Billiton's 2009 Annual Report. The company lists it as a possible open cut mine producing both metallurgical and thermal coal from the Bowen Basin in Queensland.[2] Later references are only made to metallurgical coal.[3]
