Background on Project

In August 2018 Jiangxi Construction was awarded a contract to build a 4 x 250 MW coal-fired plant in the Weda Bay Industrial Park.[1] In May 2019 PT Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP) announced that construction had begun in December 2018 on a 3 x 250 MW plant.[2] The Park will be used for nickel-based industry.[2]
