Background

In January 2011 Weslpun announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Uttar Pradesh and that the plant was expected to be commissioned by 2015. The plant is proposed to be built in Ghazipur district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The project has been moved to Mirzapur.
