William Kendall
"William is advisor to or a director of a number of entrepreneurial or family owned businesses. He is Chairman of Nemadi Advisors Ltd. which specialises in earlier stage investment in existing businesses. As CEO he led the development and subsequent sale of both The New Covent Garden Soup Company and Green & Black’s. Amongst other companies, he is director of Samworth Brothers, Notcutts Ltd and Keystone Investment Trust plc. After reading law at Cambridge University, William qualified and practiced as a barrister and then worked as an investment banker before studying for an MBA at INSEAD. He is a Trustee of Aldeburgh Music and The Aldeburgh Festival. He is actively involved in family farming businesses in East Anglia and works and campaigns on a wide range of issues connected with food and the countryside." [1]

In his twenties he had short careers as an army officer, a barrister and an investment banker. Over nine years he built up The New Covent Garden Soup Company before selling it to a public company. He and several colleagues then bought the embryonic Green & Black’s from its founder and grew it to an international brand which they sold to Cadburys in 2005...William farms organically and conventionally in East Anglia. He is an active environmentalist and a campaigner for better food and rural issues. He was convenor of David Cameron’s Quality of Life Commission on Food. He speaks and writes regularly on these issues as well as on innovation and the creation and fostering of entrepreneurial cultures in all types of organisation." [1]
