William Spence Spencer

Spence Spencer is Executive Director of the Institute for International Law and Human Rights. (See interview about his work in Iraq in 2005.)

In 2000, the New York Times reported that Spence Spencer, quit the US State Department "after 12 years and three tours abroad" as an official in the department's Human Rights Bureau. The article went on to note that "Mr. Spencer is joining Public Strategies Inc., a company based in Austin, Tex. He will specialize in public affairs for European companies exporting to the United States and plans to do pro bono work for international nongovernmental organizations." [1]
