William T. Hutton is a Partner of Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass LLP.
"One of the nation's leading authorities on the tax and financial aspects of land preservation transactions, Mr. Hutton provides tax advice to nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individuals.
"Mr. Hutton is a recognized expert in nonprofit and tax law, with an emphasis on the tax aspects of land conservation and preservation, including conservation easement planning. He acts as counsel to both national conservation organizations and local and regional land trusts, and advises individuals and corporations on the income and estate tax consequences of conservation transactions. In addition, Mr. Hutton advises the firm's clients on the full range of tax and corporate legal issues that confront nonprofit charitable organizations and their directors.
"In addition to his work for the firm's clients, Mr. Hutton serves as professor of law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco. He has previously served as a member of the faculty in the graduate tax program at New York University, and as a visiting professor at the University of Virginia and Stanford University law schools.
