Wisconsin Prosperity Network
The Wisconsin Prosperity Network (WPN)is a 501(c)(3) founded by Mark Block and former Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen. The Executive Director and Senior Vice President is Block's deputy chief of staff on the Cain campaign, Linda Hansen. It has described itself as an organization that ""acts, in part, to coordinate the efforts" of organizations like the Wisconsin branch of Americans for Prosperity. It pledged in 2009 to spend $6.4 million on groups that "advance the right-wing agenda."[1]
Connection to other Right-Wing Groups
WPN is responsible for coordinating the MacIver Institute, an organization that was very active in supporting Governor Walker's policies and has received $300,000 from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.[1]
Cain Campaign
According to PRWatch: "WPN held a fundraiser for itself featuring Mr. Cain on August 19, 2010 but asked people to "register at http://www.thehermanatorpac.com/eauclaire" while asking people to make checks payable to "Wisconsin Prosperity Network," listing the same address as Mr. Block's Prosperity USA, "PO Box 510626, New Berlin, WI 53151," which is also the same address that has been listed for Prosperity101."[1]
