Wolcott Henry

Mr. Henry "is president and chairman of The Curtis and Edith Munson Foundation and The Henry Foundation, both of which support marine conservation projects with an emphasis on fisheries and coral reefs. Prior to joining the Munson Foundation in 1986, he worked for two management consulting firms in Chicago.

"Mr. Henry has served on the board of the World Wildlife Fund-US, and The Ocean Conservancy. He currently serves as a director of The Ocean Foundation, and World Wildlife-Philippines. In addition, he serves on the advisory boards of the Smithsonian Ocean Science Initiative, and the Reef Environmental Education Foundation. He received a B.A. from Denison University (1979) and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University (1983).

"Mr. Henry is also an accomplished underwater photographer. In 1988, he collaborated with Dr. Sylvia Earle on a large format book on our national marine sanctuary system called Wild Ocean, published by the National Geographic Society. He also worked with Dr. Earle to produce two children's books also published by the National Geographic Society, titled Hello Fish and Sea Critters. In 2001, in order to further the use of high quality photography to further marine conservation issues, he created Marine Photobank, a non-profit stock photo website. His images have been published in many non-profit publications. [1]
