Wuta Beyin power station is a proposed 300-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant in Western Region, Ghana.[1]

As of December 2019, the project has not progressed in more than two years and appears to be shelved.

Background

In 2015, Wuta Energy proposed building a 150 gas-fired power plant that will later expand to 300 WM. The first phase was initially scheduled to be finished by 2016.[2] However, Wuta Energy chose the contractor, China Machinery Engineering Corporation, to build the plant in November 2016.[3]
