Background

In 2017 it was reported that Taipower was planning a LNG terminal at the Port of Keelung, near its Keelung heavy-oil-fired power station, also known as Hsieh-ho Power Plant. The capacity and timeline is not specified. Xiehe LNG terminal would be the first non-oil terminal in Taiwan or China.[1]
