Background on Plant
Hongxing Captive power station is a proposed 4 x 30 MW flue gas heat plant in Lotuoquanzi Town. The plant is part of a silicon manufacturing plant project, and will use the waste heat from the coal-based manufacturing. Construction on the units began in December 2018, with operation planned for 2021.[1][2]
Expansion
There were plans for a phase II of 2 x 350 MW supercritical coal units at the location, to be implemented after the 4 x 30 MW units.[3][4]
However, in February 2019 Hongxing Heating Co listed its future plans at the plant as 3 x 100 MW, planned for the distant future. Plans for the 2 x 350 MW units appear abandoned.[5]
