Background on Plant

The existing power station consist of two 200 MW units, which went into operation in 2008. It is owned by Ningxia Power Investment Group.[1]

Expansion

Ningxia Power Investment Group has proposed a 2 x 350 MW expansion of the power station. The proposed units were permitted in 2015, and are planned for operation in 2017.[2]

As of 2016 the plant was under construction.[3]

Unit 3 was commissioned in January 2018,[4] and unit 4 in February 2018.[5]
