Yovanka Bylander Arroyo
Yovanka Bylander Arroyo "is the new Director of the Northeast office for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF). HSF is the nation’s preeminent organization supporting Hispanic higher education; the organization’s Northeast office is located in New York City. Yovanka joined the HSF team in March, 2008.
"Bylander Arroyo comes to HSF after 15 years of corporate and nonprofit management experience. Most recently, she worked with Student Sponsor Partners (SSP) in New York, where she raised funds for the organization from a variety of individuals, corporations, foundations, and special events.
"Bylander Arroyo has worked with distinguished corporations, such as Morgan Stanley and Fox-Pitt, Kelton, as a Latin American Banks Analyst, which led her to publish articles in Latin Finance magazine. She also worked with Thomson BankWatch as VP of Latin American Bank Research. She is passionate about higher education and empowering today’s students for future successful careers. She now has the opportunity to combine her passion for education with her business experience to help lead one of the most respected, nonprofit organizations.
"Bylander Arroyo is a renowned speaker and a guest lecturer at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. She speaks four languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. An Ecuadorian-American, she attended Boston University and graduated with honors, earning her B.A. degree in Business Administration." [1]
