Coal Mine Background

In October 2008, the National Development and Reform Commission ratified the development of Yuxi Coal Mine located in Jincheng Mining Area of Shanxi Province, with a designated production capacity of 2.4Mt/year.[1]

The construction of Yuxi Coal Mine was approved by the Shanxi Provincial Coal Industry Bureau to start in November 2009. However, it has been suspended afterwards due to policy change. The resumption of construction is projected to begin on December 24th, 2019 according to the official reply from the Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau. [2]
