Background on Plant

In 2007 Polish Power proposed a 1600 MW, €1.3 billion coal-fired power station in Zarnowiec (Pomorskie voivodship), with an expected commissioning date of 2011. It was to consume 3.5 million tonnes of coal a year.[1] However, as of 2014 the project appears to have been cancelled.
