Background on Plant

The power station will consist of four units of 300 MW each in the county of Toksun. It is proposed by Zhongtai Chemical Co. As of 2014 Units 1 and 2 are under construction,[1][2] and were completed in 2015.[3]

2016: Nationwide Restrictions Imposed on Development of Coal-Fired Power Capacity

Due to new restrictions announced during 2016 by the National Energy Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission, further capacity expansions at this location appear to be on hold or cancelled.
