Zsofia Szilagyi
Zsofia Szilagyi joined European Council on Foreign Relations "in September 2007 to take charge of Communications and Media Relations. Previously, she was Media Relations Advisor to the Commissioner for Human Rights at the Council of Europe (Strasbourg), and Political Advisor at the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe in Brussels. Prior to that she worked for the OSCE’s Kosovo mission, for the Open Media Research Institute in Prague, and for the Budapest Business Journal.
"Between 1998-2003, she worked on a PhD researching media democratisation in post-communist Europe, and focusing on case studies of Hungary, Ukraine and Kosovo. Her freelance articles have been published in the East European Constitutional Review, the International Herald Tribune, and Transitions Online. Zsofia also regularly contributes to Encyclopaedia Britannica’s Book of the Year. She holds an MA in European Studies from the Natolin programme of the College of Europe, and a PhD in Political Science from the European University Institute in Florence." [1]
