In 2011 South Korea's Daewoo was chosen by Total E&C Nigeria Ltd as the preferred bidder for a N828 $733.8 million order to build a 115 MW coal-fired power plant in Agu-Amorji Nike, in the Enugu-East Local Government area of Enugu State. However, details of the project are still sketchy as Total is yet to obtain licence from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to build power plant in Nigeria.[1]
