Background

In 2011 South Korea's Daewoo was chosen by Total E&C Nigeria Ltd as the preferred bidder for a US$733.8 million order to build a 115 MW coal-fired power plant in Agu-Amorji Nike, in the Enugu-East Local Government area of Enugu State. However, details of the project were sketchy as Total had yet to obtain license from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to build the power plant in Nigeria.[1]

There has been no news since the announcement, and the project appears to be abandoned.
