Dr. RKP Power Ankulapatur power station is a proposed 420-megawatt (MW) coal plant in Andhra Pradesh, India.

The map below shows the location of Chillakur taluk, district of Nellore, the approximate location where the plant would be built.
Background
On its website, project proponent Dr. RKP Power said it has identified land for acquisition and has engaged a consultant to prepare an environmental assessment and apply for a Terms of Reference from the Ministry of Environment and Forests, the first stage in permitting.[1]
In 2014 it was reported the company had completed a public hearing for the 120 MW plant, and applied for environmental clearance from the Union ministry of environment and forests.[2] Activists say the pubic hearing should be redone because residents that would be affected by the plant were kept away.[3]
With no updates since January 2014, the project appears to be deferred or abandoned.
