Biographical Information

"Adam began his career living out of a suitcase as a Community Organiser in some of the most deprived parts of Britain. He moved on to roles at the National Union of Students, where he was responsible for skills development and employability, and CRAC (the career development organisation) where he set up an international accreditation scheme for work experience.

"Adam joined Changemakers UK as Chief Executive in 2004. He is a prominent and widely respected speaker, writer and influencer and has helped to shape many of the key youth and education policy developments of recent years including the rollout of citizenship and enterprise education in schools, the establishment of v (the National Young Volunteers Service), National Citizen Service and the government's new Positive for Youth strategy published in December 2011. He has advised both the current and previous Prime Ministers on youth policy.

"Adam holds non-executive directorships at a diverse range of organisations including the General Teaching Council, Platform 51, Isledon Arts, UnLtd and Harpenden Free School. He is a member of the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

"Adam lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and daughter. Away from the day job, he is Artistic Director of St Albans based theatre company OVO and a passionate supporter of Liverpool Football Club. He is often seen crooning in high class and low rent karaoke bars across London. "
