Alejandro Mayorkas was confirmed in August 2009 as Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services within the Department of Homeland Security. Mayorkas has served as U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California and was a partner at the law firm of O’Melveny and Myers LLP. [1]
