Background
Alturas LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal in Texas, United States.[1]
Alturas LLC, a subsidiary of Irvine, CA-based WesPac Midstream LLC, submitted an application to the Department of Energy to export up to 1.5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. The project has, to date, not been authorized.[2] The proposed project would be near Port Arthur, Texas. The project was previously projected to be online by third quarter 2016. [3] WesPac Midstream has not posted an update on the project since April of 2014; thus, the project is assumed to be shelved.[4]
There have been no development updates since 2015 and the project is presumed to be cancelled.
