American Coast LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal on the Gulf Coast, in either Louisiana or Texas. There have been no development updates since 2014, and the project is presumed to be cancelled.

Background

The American Coast LNG Terminal project should have a capacity of 8 million tonnes per year (t/y), with natural gas supplied through the Houston Pipeline Company. General America LNG (GALNG) is planning to invest $4.6 billion capital expenditure. General American LNG was expecting to start the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract in 2016 for the first shipment from the American Coast LNG Terminal Project Phase-1 in 2022 to be followed by the Phase-2 in 2024.

There have been no development updates since 2014, and the project is presumed to be cancelled.
