In August of 2015, the US Department of Energy authorized American LNG Marketing to export LNG from the Hialeah Terminal, including to countries which do not have a Free Trade Agreement with the United States. Exports will be shipped via ISO LNG containers. [2] American LNG began production in February of 2016 and is currently operational.[3]
