Biographical Information

"Ann Luskey has been passionate about conservation and protecting our environment for a number of years. In addition to The Ocean Foundation she currently sits on the board of The African Wildlife Foundation, The Whaleman Foundation, the Africa Channel and The City Kids to Wilderness Project. Ann graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in African Studies and Psychology, and also earned her degree in Interior Design from Marymont University. In 1994 Ann started her own design firm, now known as InDesign. Ann worked in residential and commercial design, and did pro-bono work for schools and non-profits. Her most recent project is her current home in Bethesda, Maryland. It is a “Net-Zero” home creating enough energy to be self-sufficient as well as generating surplus energy, which is returned to the grid and distributed within the community. Ann is also President and Executive Producer of the “Oceans Are Talking” project. Ann and her three children currently split time between their home in Bethesda and living on their Motor Yacht, Sirenuse. Spending time with her children, traveling on their boat, ‘green and sustainable’ Interior Design, and doing Philanthropic/Volunteer work are her favorite pastimes. Ann’s favorite places: almost any country in Africa, and in or under the Ocean or Sea."[1]
