Biographical Information

"Anthony Mayer CBE was appointed One Housing Group’s new Chairman and succeeded Baroness Julia Neuberger DBE in April 2012. Anthony graduated from Oxford with a Bachelor Arts (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. He began his career in the Civil Service in 1967 based in the Department of the Environment. In 1985 he left the Civil Services to join merchant bankers N.M. Rothschild & Sons where he remained until 1991and then moved on to become Chief Executive of the Housing Corporation. He was appointed Interim Chief Executive of Transport for London when it came into existence in 2000 and led the setting up and running of the Greater London Authority as Chief Executive. From 2008 to March 2012, he was the Chairman of the Tenant Services Authority."
