Background

The Appalachian Gas Connector is a gas pipeline under construction, and would link West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio into the US pipeline grid.

The Appalachian Gas Connector, also known as the Appalachia Connector Pipeline, is scheduled for construction in two phases. Phase one is expected to be in-service in the second quarter of 2018. Phase one includes a 1 bcfd gas header system, which would provide dry gas midstream services to shipper and producers in eastern Ohio and West Virginia. Phase 1 also includes a 200 MMcf/d wet gas system, which would deliver to several processing plants.

Construction of phase two is expected to begin in early 2018, and includes additional miles of dry gas pipeline and multiple additional interconnections to services markets near the Ohio River border between Ohio and West Virginia.

Construction began in June, 2017.
