Biographical Information
"As Senior Adviser, Archelle is contributing her deep knowledge of clinical medicine as well as her breadth of experience in business and health care administration to support Mental Workout's work to reinvent the delivery of psychology. She is a nationally recognized physician executive who drives meaningful change in health care by combining her knowledge of clinical medicine with a breadth of experience in business. After five years of practicing clinical medicine, she transitioned her career to the managed care industry. She held a series of senior management positions in UnitedHealth Group from 1995-2007 including Chief Medical Officer and CEO of the care management subsidiary serving over 20 million members. During her tenure with United, Archelle recognized how simple and compelling communication can influence health care purchasing decisions as well as consumers’ personal health care behaviors. In 2008, Archelle formed Georgiou Consulting, a company that helps companies better “tell their story” by using the power of language and data to translate complex medical information into differentiating health care messages. Her diverse client base includes media companies, investment banking firms, and healthcare software technology companies. Since 2007, Archelle has been the medical expert for Fox 9 Morning News (KMSP) with a twice-weekly health segment. Archelle graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco, California."[1]
