Archer Daniels Midland Clinton Power Plant

Clinton Cogeneration Plant is a coal-fired power station owned and operated by Archer Daniels Midland near Clinton, Iowa. The plant provides power to ADM's Clinton corn processing plant.

Background

The first five units of the power plant, built in the 1940s to 1990s and totaling 31.4 MW, were retired in 2008. Two new units totaling 180 MW began operating one year later, in 2009.
