Background
It was reported in August 2013 that Volta Aluminum Company acquired a parcel of land near Atuabo in the Western region of Ghana for the development of the Atuabo Valco power station. VALCO had also signed an MOU with the Ghana Gas Company for the supply of gas to run the plant.[1]
