Ayrshire Power is the company proposing the Hunterston Power Station, a proposed 1600 megawatt coal-fired power station in Scotland.
On its website the company states that that company, was formed in June 2008 as a joint venture of Peel Energy and DONG Energy. However, in October 2009 Dong Energy withdrew from the joint venture as a cost-cutting measure.[1] On its website Ayrshire Power states that Dong Energy "remains a project design partner."[2]
