Barbara Entwisle

"She is a past president (2007) of the Population Association of America (PAA), a former (1999-2001) editor of Demography (the PAA’s flagship journal) and a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). In 2003, she received UNC’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Post-Baccalaureate Instruction. Entwisle’s research is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). She has served on numerous advisory and review groups for the National Academy of Sciences, NIH, NSF, Environmental Protection Agency and NASA."
