Background

Barca LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal in Texas, United States. Though the LNG project has applied for and received US Department of Energy export licenses for Free Trade Agreement countries, it has not initiated Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filling, permitting that is required for the project to move forward. Thus, at least one source says the project is currently dormant.
