Background

The project will connect to the Big Foot ultra-deep water development in the Gulf of Mexico.

The $250 million pipeline runs for 40 miles and has the capacity to carry 100,000 barrels of oil per day to an offshore connection that eventually runs to onshore pipeline, storage, and distribution networks.

As of March of 2018, the pipeline was complete, but Enbridge was waiting for the Big Foot oil field development to reach first-oil before officially starting up commercial operations.

As of October 2019, there have been no development updates since March 2018.
