Bijan Rafiekian, of California, was nominated July 20, 2006, by President George W. Bush to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States for the remainder of the term expiring January 20, 2007, vice Linda Mysliwy Conlin.
Rafiekian's nomination was sent July 21, 2006, to the U.S. Senate for confirmation.
"Rafiekian currently serves as Principal of Global Capital Markets, Incorporated. Earlier in his career, he served as President of the GLOBTEL Group of Companies. Mr. Rafiekian received his bachelor's degree from Tehran Industrial College and his master's degree from Brighton University." [1]
