Brendan Sullivan is seeking pre-selection for the Labor Party for the seat of Lyons for the Tasmanian state selection in March 2010.
In July 2009 Labor Premier David Bartlett issued a media release announcing that "I offer him my support and encouragement because Brendan is the sort of person who will be a strong advocate for local communities and make a positive contribution to the Tasmanian Parliament."[1]
"He is an active member of the State’s Surf Life Saving movement and is currently president of the Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club. Brendan represented Tasmania as a junior footballer, played for Launceston (NTFA) and Latrobe (NWFU) and is a life member of the Port Sorell Tennis Club," Bartlett stated.[1]
