In 2008 Duke Energy spent $5,090,598 on in-house lobbying costs, including on climate change related work and a further $1,282,770 to date in 2009.[1] (The other registered lobbyists working with Vanderbloemen were Beverly K. Marshall, John Haysbert and Toby Short.)
