The C. Reiss Coal Company, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, markets coal to customers throughout the Great Lakes region.

The company states that "we utilize terminals in Chicago and on Lake Erie capable of providing handling and storage for coal, pet coke, stone, road salt, slag and other bulk materials. The company also owns and operates eight coal docks located at ports along the Great Lakes at Ashland, Manitowoc, Green Bay, and Superior, Wisconsin; Escanaba (2) and Sault Ste Marie, Michigan; and Duluth, Minnesota. C. Reiss Coal also has a longstanding network of terminal relationships which provide access to storage at four additional facilities located in Michigan."[1]
