Background
Calhoun LNG Terminal was a proposed LNG terminal in Texas, United States.[1] Gulf Coast LNG Partners, L.P. had a memorandum of understanding with the Consortium of KOGAS, LG International, and the EMS Group as operators and equity owner of the Calhoun LNG [2] Gulf Coast LNG Partners, L.P. is a Houston-based partnership formed between Gulf Coast LNG, LLC and Haddington Energy Partners II, LP, a private equity fund managed by Haddington Ventures, LLC. [3]The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorized the Calhoun LNG in 2007; this permit required the terminal commence service within 5 years. However, in 2012, Calhoun LNG filed with FERC to abandon its plans for the Calhoun LNG.[4]
