Carbones del Guasare is a majority government-owned joint venture which owns the Paso Diablo Mine in Venezuela.

Peabody Energy owns 48.37% of the joint venture. In its 2010 annual report Peabody Energy stated that "the joint venture is responsible for production, processing and transportation of coal to ocean-going vessels for delivery to customers". Peabody also states that it is responsible "for marketing our pro-rata share of sales from Paso Diablo."[1]
