Background
In January 2018 the Indonesian government announced that a contract to build the pipeline would be tendered, at an estimated cost of US$97 million.[2] In July 2019 BPH Migas, which is Indonesia's Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency, announced that a feasibility study is being conducted for the Central Kalimantan-South Kalimantan pipeline and other pipelines in Kalimantan.[3] In July 2019 the government announced that it would seek private financing for the project.[4]
