The Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF) "was founded in 1990 by Dr. Laurie Marker. CCF's mission is to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in research and education on cheetahs and their eco-systems, working with all stakeholders to achieve best practice in the conservation and management of the world's cheetahs. As Namibia has the largest and healthiest population of cheetahs left in the world, CCF's International Research and Education Centre is based in Namibia, near Otjiwarongo." [1]

"Namibian support was very important for the new [Education] Centre, enabling the final part of the Education Exhibits Building to be completed. The funds were presented by John Murphy (right), CCF Board member and Chairman of De Beers Namibia." [2]

Their Bush Project has been supported by USAID since 2001. [3]

"From the beginning of 2009, Mary Wykstra's organisation, Action for Cheetahs in Kenya (ACK), becomes an independent CCF affiliate." [4]

CCF has worked for over 12 years with the Earthwatch Institute.
