"Senior Research Fellow, working for the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and Wildlife Conservation Society, based at the Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute in Tanzania and Institute of Zoology at ZSL. Main interests concern conservation and include human/wildlife conflict, impacts of land use change, capacity development, priority setting and monitoring and surveys. Currently leads two major programs relevant to cat conservation - both are in Tanzania:
"1. The Tanzania Cheetah Conservation Program - A long term program aiming to establish a cohesive strategy to conserve cheetahs across Tanzania based on sound research and management, the program includes the Serengeti Cheetah Project established in 1974.
"2. The Tanzania Carnivore Program - A long term program established in 2002 through a Darwin Initiative grant to develop capacity for carnivore conservation.
"Sarah has been a member of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group since 1997." [1]
